Our Story
Willy Dog Hot Dog Carts was founded in 1989 by Will Hodgskiss, who built his first cart by hand after being inspired by a busy hot dog vendor outside a furniture store. What began as a single cart soon grew into a franchise operation across Ontario before evolving into a full-fledged manufacturing business.
Today, Willy Dog remains a proud family-run company, with Will serving as Top Dog & CEO and his daughter Niki Hodgskiss as Director of Operations. Both have firsthand experience as hot dog vendors and are always happy to share their insights with anyone interested in getting into the business.
Willy Dog’s headquarters are located in Napanee, Ontario, in a 32,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility. Our team consists of about 20 skilled fabricators, designers, and sales people. Visitors are welcome by appointment, just give us a call at 1-800-915-4683.
